79.21.فَكَذَّبَ وَعَصَى

79.21. mais ce dernier cria à l'imposture et refusa d'obéir.

79.21 . But be denied and disobeyed ,

79.21. Fakaththaba waAAasa

79.22.ثُمَّ أَدْبَرَ يَسْعَى

79.22. Après quoi, il tourna le dos et s'en alla

79.22 . Then turned he away in haste ,

79.22. Thumma adbara yasAAa

79.23.فَحَشَرَ فَنَادَى

79.23. rassembler ses hommes et leur déclara :

79.23 . Then gathered he and summoned

79.23. Fahashara fanada

79.24.فَقَالَ أَنَا رَبُّكُمُ الْأَعْلَى

79.24. «Je suis votre seigneur le plus puissant !»

79.24 . And proclaimed : "I ( Pharaoh ) am your Lord the Highest . "

79.24. Faqala ana rabbukumu al-aAAla

79.25.فَأَخَذَهُ اللَّهُ نَكَالَ الْآخِرَةِ وَالْأُولَى

79.25. C'est alors que Dieu, pour le punir, lui infligea les tourments de la vie future et ceux d'ici-bas.

79.25 . So Allah seized him ( and made him ) an example for the after ( life ) and for the former .

79.25. Faakhathahu Allahu nakala al-akhirati waal-oola
