The Moroccan Airports Authority (ONDA) has informed passengers departing from Morocco’s airports that the check-in and boarding pass systems have been experiencing disruptions in recent hours.
«These disruptions are due to the massive power outage on the Iberian Peninsula, which has affected the international links used by some telecommunications operators, particularly their connections via servers located in Spain», ONDA explained in a press release.
ONDA teams are currently working closely with the support teams of the affected operators to restore services as quickly as possible, the statement added.
To ensure the continuity of airport operations, ONDA announced that all airports have switched to manual check-in and boarding procedures.
«We recommend that passengers contact their airline before heading to the airport to obtain the latest flight information», ONDA emphasized, adding that passengers whose flights are confirmed are advised to arrive at the airport as early as possible to complete the necessary formalities under the best possible conditions.
ONDA’s teams are fully mobilized to assist travelers and minimize the inconvenience caused by this exceptional situation, the press release stated.
ONDA reassures passengers that its teams, in close coordination with all partner stakeholders, are working tirelessly to limit the impact of these disruptions as quickly as possible.
