33.16.قُل لَّن يَنفَعَكُمُ الْفِرَارُ إِن فَرَرْتُم مِّنَ الْمَوْتِ أَوِ الْقَتْلِ وَإِذاً لَّا تُمَتَّعُونَ إِلَّا قَلِيلاً

33.16. Dis-leur : «La fuite ne vous servira à rien, si vous fuyez pour ne pas mourir ou pour ne pas être tués au combat, car, de toute manière, vous ne jouirez que peu de temps de la vie.»

33.16 . Say : Flight will not avail you if ye flee from death or killing , and then ye dwell in comfort but a little while .

33.16. Qul lan yanfaAAakumu alfiraru in farartum mina almawti awi alqatli wa-ithan la tumattaAAoona illa qaleelan

33.17.قُلْ مَن ذَا الَّذِي يَعْصِمُكُم مِّنَ اللَّهِ إِنْ أَرَادَ بِكُمْ سُوءاً أَوْ أَرَادَ بِكُمْ رَحْمَةً وَلَا يَجِدُونَ لَهُم مِّن دُونِ اللَّهِ وَلِيّاً وَلَا نَصِيراً

33.17. Dis-leur aussi : «Qui peut aller contre la volonté de Dieu s'Il veut vous accabler d'un malheur ou s'Il veut vous gratifier d'une faveur?» Aussi ne trouveront-ils en dehors de Dieu ni allié ni protecteur.

33.17 . Say : Who is he who can preserve you from Allah if He intendeth harm for you , or intendeth mercy for you . They will not find that they have any friend or helper other than Allah

33.17. Qul man tha allathee yaAAsimukum mina Allahi in arada bikum soo-an aw arada bikum rahmatan wala yajidoona lahum min dooni Allahi waliyyan wala naseeran

33.18.قَدْ يَعْلَمُ اللَّهُ الْمُعَوِّقِينَ مِنكُمْ وَالْقَائِلِينَ لِإِخْوَانِهِمْ هَلُمَّ إِلَيْنَا وَلَا يَأْتُونَ الْبَأْسَ إِلَّا قَلِيلاً

33.18. Certes, Dieu connaît bien ceux d'entre eux qui sèment le défaitisme et qui disent à leurs frères : «Ralliez-vous à nous !», sans jamais déployer eux-mêmes au combat que peu d'ardeur,

33.18 . Allah already knoweth those of you who hinder , and those who say unto their brethren : "Come ye hither unto us!" and they come not to the stress of battle save a little ,

33.18. Qad yaAAlamu Allahu almuAAawwiqeena minkum waalqa-ileena li-ikhwanihim halumma ilayna wala ya/toona alba/sa illa qaleelan

33.19.أَشِحَّةً عَلَيْكُمْ فَإِذَا جَاء الْخَوْفُ رَأَيْتَهُمْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَيْكَ تَدُورُ أَعْيُنُهُمْ كَالَّذِي يُغْشَى عَلَيْهِ مِنَ الْمَوْتِ فَإِذَا ذَهَبَ الْخَوْفُ سَلَقُوكُم بِأَلْسِنَةٍ حِدَادٍ أَشِحَّةً عَلَى الْخَيْرِ أُوْلَئِكَ لَمْ يُؤْمِنُوا فَأَحْبَطَ اللَّهُ أَعْمَالَهُمْ وَكَانَ ذَلِكَ عَلَى اللَّهِ يَسِيراً

33.19. par avarice à votre égard. Mais quand ils se sentent eux-mêmes en danger, tu les vois porter sur toi des regards angoissés, comme s'ils étaient à l'article de la mort. Et dès que le danger est passé, ils s'acharnent sur vous de leurs langues acérées, par cupidité pour le butin. Ces gens-là n'ont rien des vrais croyants. Aussi Dieu réduira-t-Il leurs œuvres à néant, et cela est si facile pour Lui.

33.19 . Being sparing of their help to you ( believers ) . But when the fear cometh , then thou ( Muhammad ) seest them regarding thee with rolling eyes like one who fainteth unto death . Then , when the fear departeth , they scald you with sharp tongues in their greed for wealth ( from the spoil ) . Such have not believed . Therefor Allah maketh their deeds fruitless . And that is easy for Allah .

33.19. Ashihhatan AAalaykum fa-itha jaa alkhawfu raaytahum yanthuroona ilayka tadooru aAAyunuhum kaallathee yughsha AAalayhi mina almawti fa-itha thahaba alkhawfu salaqookum bi-alsinatin hidadin ashihhatan AAala alkhayri ola-ika lam yu/minoo faahbata Allahu aAAmalahum wakana thalika AAala Allahi yaseeran

33.20.يَحْسَبُونَ الْأَحْزَابَ لَمْ يَذْهَبُوا وَإِن يَأْتِ الْأَحْزَابُ يَوَدُّوا لَوْ أَنَّهُم بَادُونَ فِي الْأَعْرَابِ يَسْأَلُونَ عَنْ أَنبَائِكُمْ وَلَوْ كَانُوا فِيكُم مَّا قَاتَلُوا إِلَّا قَلِيلاً

33.20. Ils pensent que les coalisés sont toujours là. Mais même si ces derniers revenaient, les hypocrites préféreraient se trouver dans le désert, parmi les nomades, et se contenter de prendre de loin de vos nouvelles. D'ailleurs, fussent-ils parmi vous, ils n'auraient fait preuve au combat que de peu d'ardeur.

33.20 . They hold that the clans have not retired ( for good ) ; and if the Clans should advance ( again ) , they would fain be in the desert with the wandering Arabs , asking for the news of you and if they were among you , they would not give battle , save a little .

33.20. Yahsaboona al-ahzaba lam yathhaboo wa-in ya/ti al-ahzabu yawaddoo law annahum badoona fee al-aAArabi yas-aloona AAan anba-ikum walaw kanoo feekum ma qataloo illa qaleelan
