Building on its growing success over the past four editions, Souk L’Oustouwanat returns for its fifth year on July 12, 2025, from 9 AM to 6 PM at La Renaissance Cinema in Rabat. Initiated by the Hiba Foundation, this annual event is Morocco’s largest market dedicated to «sound treasures and musical cultural goods», including vinyl records and cassettes. With its eclectic array of stands, the market offers exhibitors the chance to sell a wide variety of musical items, from records and tapes to posters, books, T-shirts, and more.
More than just a market, Souk L’Oustouwanat is described by organizers as «an unmissable opportunity for music lovers and curious visitors alike to discover retro musical gems, connect with passionate collectors, and soak in a nostalgic atmosphere». The event also serves as a valuable platform for collectors, specialty shops, and independent sellers to showcase and share their treasures.
In an effort to be more inclusive and strengthen connections between collectors and sellers, the Hiba Foundation issued a call for participation, which closed on July 6, inviting record dealers and collectors from across Morocco to join the event and sell their musical goods.
Beyond the marketplace, the event aims to celebrate musical expression in all its forms, offering a vibrant space for discovery, dialogue, and appreciation of local and independent music scenes.
