A light aircraft operated by a private Moroccan company was forced to make an emergency landing on Sunday, July 6, at approximately 8:50 PM at Casablanca’s Mohammed V Airport.

The plane had departed from Marrakech around 6:50 PM, en route to Majorca, Spain, with three people on board: the pilot, co-pilot, and a passenger. Shortly after takeoff, a mechanical issue was reported involving the landing gear, resulting in the loss of a wheel. In response, the crew decided to divert the flight.

The aircraft circled the Casablanca area for nearly two hours to burn off fuel before attempting a cautious landing. The maneuver was carried out successfully and without major incident, under the supervision of airport authorities.

According to information obtained by Hespress, air traffic control closely monitored the situation. No injuries were reported.
