RS Berkane aims for third CAF Cup title in showdown against Simba SC

The Renaissance Sportive de Berkane (RSB) is preparing to host Simba SC for the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup final at the municipal stadium in Berkane. The Berkanis are aiming to claim their third title in this competition, having previously triumphed in 2020 and 2022.

As national champions for the first time, RSB hopes to secure a strong home result to approach the return leg in Tanzania with confidence. Coach Mouaine Chaabani is counting on his team’s cohesion and tactical discipline to achieve a historic league and CAF Cup double.

On the other side, Tanzanian side Simba SC, finalists in the CAF Cup back in 1993, have demonstrated their strength on the African stage and are determined to put up a tough fight. With 22 Tanzanian league titles to their name, Simba is a formidable opponent.

The return leg will take place at Amaan Stadium in Zanzibar, where Simba remains unbeaten this season in the CAF Cup. Both teams are preparing intensely for this decisive clash, each eager to gain the advantage from the first leg.
